Dear Secret Santa:
I would very much like one of the following for my present
- Mitsuba Okita and Hijikata
- Okita (sleeping) with or without his mask
- Okita x Kagura
- Ginpachi-sensei (with or without 3-Z class)
- Otae and Gintoki (romance or not)
Thank you, Santa, whoever you may be! And have a very merry Christmas, when the time comes!
Now, for the ranting/blogging side of this journal:
'Lo, folks. Haven't had a whole lot of time to blog recently. So sorry.
I've been underachieveing at school for about a month now, haha. Too much application crap to take care of every month. Submitted those darn teacher recommendations a few weeks ago, tried to submit the counselor recommendations but couldn't last Friday because the counselors weren't here, and am still messing with the actual application. Sorely disappointed by my last SAT scores, and took a couple of the subject tests this morning. Busy year. But yeah, my teachers have noticed that I'm underachieving and I don't think they're too happy about it... need to get this crap over and done with.
This is an extremely stressful year. I've gotten into more arguments with both my parents this semester than the last three years combined. And then we'll all have a blubbering breakdown when I go off to college and then... I dunno. Best not to think about things out of my league right now.
I swear, I'm drawing. Really. I've got half-completed pictures of Lelouch, gothic people, and Yugioh sketches lying around, but I don't have the time to finish them. I've been meaning to draw Supernatural fanart for so long now, but I still haven't finished anything. Sigh.
On the geeky side, I've become extremely well acquainted with the awesomest website on the Internet (besides DA and FF.net, of course): TVTropes.org. The writing there is complete and total win. Also, I've been watching loads of movies online, and I have to say that my movie taste has really changed. I used to be such a sensitive soul, but now I'm specializing in R-rated action and thrillers. Just finished Blade: Trinity today, am still trying to find a good version of Watchmen, and watched entire X-Men trilogy plus Origins: Wolverine last week. Good times, good times. No chick flicks for me! And I'm eagerly awaiting the new Green Lantern and Deadpool movies coming out next year...
Seriously, I cannot wait to finish with the application shit. When I'm done, I can get on with my life (I actually have some semblence of a social life this year; yay!) and bring up my grades, and just take it easy. It's my last year, after all.
Music-wise, I've just about divided my ipod into half Japanese music and half-English-language. I'm pretty proud of myself for getting out of that otaku rut. And I've been downloading whole soundtracks of movie goodness. Pirates of the Caribbean is wonderful, and so are the soundtracks from X-Men and anything by Immediate Music. Ominous Latin Choruses and Dramatic Strings are my current love right now.
